Pidgin 2.7 nightlies

As of this morning, my Pidgin developer builds for Windows now unzip to a folder named “pidgin-2.7.0devel-win32bin“. This means that after the release of 2.6.6, the Pidgin developers have switched the trunk source code to development for Pidgin 2.7.

The immediate change for users of my builds is that they now depend on the GTK+ 2.14 runtime, which removes support for Win 98/ME. The GTK runtime is NOT included in the zip-files, so you may wish to manually upgrade your runtime environment. The gtk-win project at SourceForge has a ready-to-use installer available.

Make sure you install to the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\GTK\2.0\ (or similar) in order for Pidgin to pick up the GTK environment.
