Gaim CVS builds for Windows

I’m an avid user of Gaim, a cross-platform, Open Source Instant Messaging program (just the way I like it), and have for a while been compiling my own CVS builds for Windows (being a M$-slave on my desktop after all).

The Gaim developers strongly discourage the use of Gaim from CVS, but none of their reasoning really seems to discourage me. In fact, I’ve had great success with CVS builds, and am quite happy with them. Also, the fact that I use their “oldstatus” branch (currently 1.2.1cvs), which uses an API that is being retired in favor of a more nifty one in their HEAD branch (2.0.0cvs) probably has a say. The HEAD build is usable, but it’s GUI is still being shifted around a lot, so I tend to stick to the oldstatus-one.

Anyway, whenever I update from CVS and rebuild these babies (both oldstatus and HEAD), they are automatically uploaded here, so anyone who wants to get their hands on an absolute bleeding edge state-of-the-art Instant Messenger can do so along with me. They’ll have to cope with crappy download speeds, though ;)

That being said, you should jot this down on your arm or something before you dig in:DO NOT CONTACT THE GAIM DEVELOPERS ABOUT BUGS IN GAIM CVS!
