Welcome to 2005!

Christmas and New Year came and went, and I’m still well and retain all 10 digits on my hands. Was glad to hear that the number of accidents on New Year’s Eve in Denmark has gone down [dk], though tragically, a little boy was killed when he was hit in the chest by a stray rocket. One came whizzing by Maria and myself on the road (see picture), while we were out watching around midnight. Stray rockets my a**…

Was shooting some video as well on the evening (aforementioned rocket is on it as well) and we talked about how people actually manage to shroud the entire town, or indeed the whole country, in thick clouds of sulphur and potassium nitrate. Interestingly, we weren’t the only ones to think so.

The Indian Ocean earthquake disaster has required a lot of attention from the peoples of the world. I was pleased to see how fast it was possible to donate money [dk] here in Denmark, and especially how easy it was. I donated to Red Cross [dk] simply by sending an SMS containg the letters ‘RK’ to +451231.

Anyway .. in spite of it all, I wish everyone all the best for the year to come.
