Fantastic, Denmark. Really, bloody fantastic.
As you may know, Denmark’s vote at the Council of Ministers in the European Parliament was crucial in the outcome of the Commission’s proposal “on the patentability of computer-implemented inventions”. There’s a short (slightly opposing) introduction to the matter here. Essentially, it makes it possible to sue people for using any kind of previously used or defined computerrelated information. The GNU Project has more on this.
Anyway, our so-called representative there was less than capable of taking action at the vote, and this was the outcome. Simply appalling.
